What's Happened To Christmas?
by

Whats happened to Christmas?
What made it go the way its gone.
Not one nativity youll see on public lawns.
Reindeer, snowmen, Santa and his sleigh
Have changed the theme of Christmas,
And why we celebrate.

So whats happened to Christmas?
How different is our time,
To hear the Christmas story causes some to whine;
Many only consider Christ a great teacher of His time.
The truth of Him many do not embrace,
He is rejected by much of the human race.

Whats happened to Christmas?
Where are the carolers that sing the songs?
Many courts gag their mouths,
In many places the song are not allowed.

O Lord, theres an agenda to snuff out Your Light,
Many disregard that O so Holy night.
Blaring commercials and counting shopping days,
Stressed Holiday shoppers run like rats in a maze.
Each year its more intense, many seek to make Federal case:
Dont you dare display your Christmas get it out of this place.

And make sure you say, Happy Holidays to You,
To wish a Merry Christmas might just get you sued.
At the job no more Christmas spirit, its just not PC!
Dont celebrate or mention Christ,
The Way, the Truth, and Life, the Light.

O Jesus, if they would just know,
Like a mother hen for her chicks
The hearts of men You love so.
The attitude instead we see,
Get Christ out of Christmas, if you please!
So it goes throughout the land,
No room for Jesus in their plans.

Yet Lord, You see Your children as they deck the halls,
And not with that guy in red, good old Santa Claus.
Manager scenes are set out for everyone to see,
and they boldly tell the story of Jesus and how He came to be,
The perfect gift of God to demonstrate His great love for men,
and one day take up a cross and die for all their sins.

So whats happened to Christmas?
Know the Spirit has not died,
Its up to us to remember Jesus,
And in our hearts keep Him alive.

The world does it best to deny Him,
But in many hearts His Light shines!
So no more whining and complaining,
Get your life in line with Christ!
Pray for the eyes of these to see,
Let His love in you produce the good seed.
And demonstrate His Love towards men,
So those who try to deny Him
Might see He came for them
