The Christmas Wreath

Wreaths are a very popular form of Christmas decoration. They are circular in shape and typically around 40cm (16 inches) in diameter, utilising evergreen materials, the most common of which is holly. All kinds of other evergreens may be used including ivy and yew. These are traditionally augmented with holly berries or even yew berries, but other decorations may be used. A common application of the wreath at Christmas is for displaying on the front door, but they are also favoured by many people for placing on the graves of dear departed friends and family who they might wish to visit at this time of the year.
